Scarecrow Competition

October 2024

Businesses in Louisiana will be competing to win the coveted prize for the best decorated scarecrow in the Louisiana Community Betterment Association Scarecrow Competition.  

Come visit us October 1st through October 31st and judge for yourself. See if you agree with the judges on who should be the winner!

39h Annual Louisiana Colorfest

October 19th and 20th, 2024

Louisiana is home to Pike County's largest festival, the Louisiana Colorfest, attended by over 8,000 people annually.  This two-day festival has live bands, kids activities, duck races, sidewalk chalk competitions, beard and baby contests, and a talent show! We look forward to seeing you there!

Christmas Parade

Come visit Louisiana for the evening! Louisiana Community Betterment Association is hosting a Christmas Parade welcoming Santa to town.  Children will be able to visit Santa in the Louisiana Historical Museum where he will be keeping warm and waiting to hear the children's Christmas wish list.

The Christmas parade will begin at 5PM. After the Christmas parade, the town tree will be lit. Stroll Georgia street and enjoy the shop windows decorated  for Christmas. Street vendors and stores will be available to get a jump on your xmas shopping.

5th Annual Holiday Home Tour

Louisiana Community Betterment Association invites you to  experience a Holiday Home Tour on Saturday, December 7th.

Come tour these beautiful homes dressed in their holiday finest! Four of the homes on this year's tour will be making their debut on the Holiday Home Tour. Tours will take place between 3-7 pm.

31st Annual Mid-Town Church Walk

STARTS at Bethel AME at the corner of N. 6th and Tennessee St. at 3:00PM

The Annual Louisiana Area Historical Museum Mid-Town Church Walk. Participating churches include: Bethel AME, Christian - Disciples of Christ, First Baptist, Centenary Methodist, Calvary Episcopal, and First Presbyterian. Each church will have a 15 minute Christmas presentation.  The walk will end at the Presbyterian Church with refreshments of cider and cookies.
