36th Annual Louisiana Colorfest

Louisiana is home to Pike County's largest festival, the Louisiana Colorfest, attended by over 8,000 people annually. Colorfest has been moved to the first weekend in October, the 2nd & 3rd, 2021 We look forward to seeing you there!

Historic Ghost Tours

We are continually working to connect our past residents to the present, even if they are long dead. However, sometimes the dead try to make first contact. We will be hosting historic ghost tours every Saturday evening during October, to share the history of the town and how the Louisianans of old remain with us.

It is $25.00 per person with all proceeds going to enhance the beauty and history of Louisiana. Please follow one of the links below to register. You must register ahead of time. Register soon! Spots are limited!

Scarecrow Competiton

Businesses in Louisiana will be competing to win the coveted prize for the best decorated scarecrow.  Come visit us October 4th through October 31st and judge for yourself. See if you agree with the judges on who should be the winner!Mon, Oct 4th, 2021

26th Annual Mid-Town Church Walk

The Annual Louisiana Area Historical Museum Mid-Town Church Walk. Participating churches include: Bethel AME, Christian - Disciples of Christ, First Baptist, Centenary Methodist, Calvary Episcopal, and First Presbyterian. Each church will have a 15 minute Christmas presentation.  The walk will end at the Presbyterian Church with a soup supper.Sun, Dec 5th, 2021

Victorian Christmas

December 12th come visit our Victorian town all dressed up for Christmas. Stroll the streets taking in the decorated shop windows.  Pause to listen to live Christmas music being performed. Stop in one of our restaurants for a cookie and hot chocolate or perhaps a hot buttered rum.Sat, Dec 11th, 2021

Ribs on the River

Rescheduled to October 21st & 22nd, 2022 due to the Delta Variant of Covid. Join us for Ribs on the River. Ribs on the River is a Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned event. There will be bands, a pie competition, corn hole tournament, and a Masters Barbecue Cook Off!
